Alterations into Offices: Guide Lane Audenshaw

For alterations and extensions to two houses in Guide Lane and for conversion of same into stores, offices and boardroom. Accepted tenders of 4 January indicates that the contract was awarded to J Gibson at £325. However, a further advertisement appeared the following week inviting contractors to again tender for the work. In March 1884 Burton invited tenders for the drainage and sewering of Guide Lane and Shepley Road in his role as Surveyor to the Local Boar.
