Originally advertised as 40 houses but 44 houses were built on a site at the very edge of the built-up area and separated from the village by the colliery railway. Completed scheme shown on 1928 OS map. Slate roofs common brickwork with areas of render and Accrington brick plinth. 18 pairs of semi-detached,  eight houses in two blocks of four - see also Roe Green. Attempt to vary elevational treatment - Garden City type.
