Thomas Tidmus Smith

Thomas Tidmas Smith was born in London the son of Thomas Smith, attorney, and moved to the Strangeways district of Manchester in the early 1840s, He is not listed as an architect in the 1847 trades directory but by 1850 he had set up practice on his own account with an office at 41 John Dalton Street. Following the death of his wife he moved to Patricroft, Eccles. He was the father of George Oswald Smith, architect.
