Orlando Edmund Thomas Prescott was the eldest son of Thomas Prescott, retired farmer, and Anne (Martlew). He was educated at Cambridge House School, Wigan before being articled to Richard Knill Freeman of Bolton 1888-1893, and remained as assistant 1893-1903. He commenced independent practice in Wigan in 1903 in partnership with Thomas James Bold. LRIBA 24 June 1912: proposed by W C Ralph, F P Halsall.
