Oliver Ayliffe
- Born : 1829: Chippenham, Wiltshire.
- Married : 1855 Maria Young at Bath.
- Died : Oct-Nov-Dec 1889 at Chorlton-on-Medlock
Oliver Ayliffe was born at Chippenham Wiltshire, the son of Thomas and Isabella Ayliffe and received his architectural training in Bath, following which he moved to Wolverhampton. For about five years between 1861-1866 he had considerable success in partnership with Henry John Paull at Burnley and Manchester. However H J Paull was undoubtedly the driving force of the partnership and following its dissolution Oliver Ayliffe obtained few commissions, seemingly devoting most of his energies to religion as a Minister of Catholic Apostolic Church.
