The son of John Eaton senior of Brechin and Margaret Steuart Eaton of Coupar Angus, Perthshire who continued the practice of John Eaton and Sons in partnership with his brother (Colonel) John Eaton after his father’s death in 1876. He married Martha Taylor at St Michaels Church, Ashton-under-Lyne. Little else is known at present.
