The second son of the architect Lawrence Booth and his wife Harriet Elizabeth (Jones). Following his father’s death, he was taken into partnership by Thomas Chadwick in 1898. The partnership was dissolved 1906 after which he worked for many years as architect for the Bradford Dyers Association in Bradford. He was elected LRIBA in 1925.

Henry Booth died on 15 August 1945 at Brantwood Wishaw Lanarkshire Scotland, the residence of his son-in-law.
