Frederick Harrison was the son of Henry Harrison of Preston, Lancashire; born at Preston in 1871; educated at Hutton Grammar School, Lancashire and attended the Harris Institute, Preston; articled to James Garry FRIBA* of West Hartlepool; after experience in Newcastle and London, came to Leicester, and with Walter Herbert Hattrell, MSA commenced in 1896, as architect and surveyor in Leicester and Coventry: the firm was been responsible for Stoney Stanton Road Wesleyan Church at Coventry, the Trade Union Hall and head offices at Leicester for the National Union of Boot and Shoe operatives etc. and has also been connected with the development of several important building estates. Hon. Secretary of the Birstall Golf Club since its formation. Married in 1896, Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Yeadon Johnson of West Hartlepool and has issue two sons and one daughter. Elected LRIBA on 20 July 1911.
