Wood Green Public Baths
WOOD GREEN PUBLIC BATHS - The Wood Green Urban District Council recently decided to erect public baths at a cost of several thousands of pounds, and competitive designs were invited from architects, premiums of 50, 25, and 15 guineas respectively being offered by the council to the authors of the designs placed first, second, and third in the order of merit. The district council has now awarded the first prize to Mr. Harold Burgess, of West Green. South Tottenham; the second Mr. E. Harding Payne. of John-street, Bedford-row; and the third to Messrs. F. J. and F. Danby Smith, of Parliament Mansions, Victoria-street,S.W. Fifteen architects were selected to submit designs. The following are their names: Messrs. Maurice B. Adams, FRIBA; Aldwinekle and Son, B. S. Ayling, FRIBA; Bennett and Stratton, H. T. Bonner. ARIBA, CE; Harold Burgess; Dinwiddy and Sons, Stuart Hill. E. H. Payne, ARIBA; F. Pinches, ARIBA; F. J.
