The Pneumatic Tube Machine Company Limited (Brainard’s Patent)
Capital £300,000, in £1 shares. Formed to purchase and work the British letters patent granted to Austin Brainard, of Hartford, Connecticut, U.S.A.,' for machines to manufacture pneumatic tubes, hose-pipe, and other similar articles. The machine can also be used for making pneumatic tube tyres for carriages and autocars, vacuum brake connecting tubes for railway carriages, etc. The purchase price is £230,000, payable as to £100,000 in fully-paid shares, and as to the balance in cash. The present issue is of 200,000 shares, of which 70,000 will be set apart for working capital.
Although Mangnall and Littlewood were named in the prospectus as company architects and surveyors, no indication has been found that they designed anything for the Pneumatic Tube Machine Company Limited . The company was dissolved before 1916
