                    The Pavilion Picture Palace, at the corner of St Mary=s Gate, Spotland Road and Bury Road has just been opened. It seats 1,000 persons. The architects are Messrs Butterworth and Duncan, Baillie Street, Rochdale. The contractor for the brickwork and joinery is Mr G F Endersley of Hanging Road; the plaster-work has been done by Messrs White and Regan, Stratford Avenue; the ventilation and heating arrangements have been in the hands of Messrs Maltby and Holden. The facade is faience supplied by the Bispham Hall Brick and Tile Company.[Building News 20 December 1912 page 864]
Opened 6th December 1912. Proscenium width 22 feet; 866 seats. Closed 1959. Demolished and flats built on site.
