WESLEYAN CHURCH, SOUTHPORT - The plans of Mr. F. W. Dixon, of Manchester and Oldham, have been accepted for a new Wesleyan church in High Park, Southport. The church, which is to seat 660 persons, is designed in Late Gothic, and will be built of Accrington bricks, with Yorkshire stone dressings. The cost is to be £4,000. The plans submitted by Mr F W Dixon of Manchester and Oldham for a Methodist Church in King Street Oldham (to seat 400 and cost £3,000) and another at High Park Southport (to seat 660 and cost £4,000) have been selected. The latter will be of late Gothic design and is to be built of Accrington brick with Yorkshire stone dressings. [British Architect 24 April 1903 Page 292] 

A new Wesleyan chapel is being built in High Park Road, Southport, from plans by Mr. F. W. Dixon. It will accommodate 680 persons, and will cost £4,000. The foundation‑stone was laid on Saturday last. [Building News 10 July 1903 page 44]
