Darwen Town Hall (Architectural Competition)

DARWEN TOWN HALL - The Corporation of  Darwen recently invited architects to send in plans for a proposed new town hall and market-house, and received applications for further particulars from no fewer than 122 members of the profession. Salomons and Ely were among the twenty-four invited to compete. Their scheme was later exhibited at the Royal Academy.
