Felindre Farchog is a small village situated on the A487 Fishguard Road, approximately seven miles south west of Cardigan. At the eastern end of the village at the junction of the A487 and a lane to Moylgrove is the College. The original building of 1624 (see note) was erected for Sir George Owen of Henllys as a school, although he died before its completion.

In 1852 Sir Thomas Lloyd, Lord Marcher of Cemaes rebuilt it in Gothic style to house the Court Leet of the Lordship of Cemais, incorporating fragments of the earlier building. It comprises coursed slate rubble with ashlar quoins and steep-pitched slate roofs. Tudor style, T-plan with ashlar entrance tower in angle, the West cross-wing formed a high single-storey court-room, the south facing range to the right  being a cottage of one and a half storeys. The flat roofed entrance tower may have originally had a timber spire roof.

The architect was probably R K Penson who was working for Thomas Lloyd at Bronwydd and Newport Castle about this time.
