Alterations: Grapes Inn, 69 Norden Road, Bamford
TO BUILDERS - Builders desirous of Tendering for proposed ADDITIONS and ALTERATIONS to the GRAPES INN, Bamford, are requested to send in their Applications for bills of quantities to the undersigned on or before the 14th day of April. 1908. Applications are to be accompanied by a deposit of one guinea which will be returned on receipt of a bone-fide tender. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. Mr. T. R. Bertwistle, Bury, applied on behalf of Albert Livesey, the tenant, and the Masseys Burnley Brewery Company, the owners. for permission to make certain alterations in the interior of the Grapes Inn, Birtle-cum-Bamford. He detailed the alterations desired. and said that on the ground floor the drinking space would be decreased from 930 feet to 720 feet. He suggested that the alterations should be sanctioned without asking for compensation. Mr. Austin Porritt, architect. Bury, produced plans of the proposed alterations, and explained them.
