 Henry Bake married Anne, daughter of Peter Flint MD of Hartington, Derbyshire. She died on 2 July 1867,aged 59. [Manchester Guardian July 1867 - deaths].  In 1886 their youngest daughter, Isobel, married Herbert Bendall MA, Vice-Principal of Liverpool College, 1873-1887; and Head Master of Blackheath School, 1887-1894.

In 1834-1835 he worked in partnership with Mr (unknown) Lowe at Ashton-under-Lyne. By 1838 he was working alone
